GINCC Recognizes Members
The Greater Ishpeming Negaunee Chamber of Commerce marked its’ one-year anniversary over the weekend. The first annual membership dinner Saturday was held at the Wawonowin Golf Club.
Chamber President Bruce Turino applauded the business representatives for having faith in the new organization and for working together to make the western Marquette County stronger as an economic unit. Chamber Vice President Tony Lofaro praised Executive Director Elizabeth Peterson for the passion for the community she exhibits on a daily basis and for her support of each member agency.
Recognition for the contributions of community members was also a part of the evening: the Chamber recognized board member Paul Bonetti as Volunteer of the Year, Business of the Year recognition went to Fox Negaunee, Small Business of the Year was awarded to the Mid-Town Bakery, Business Person of the Year went to Kurt Gronvall, board member Michelle LaMere was named Member of the year, and the President’s Award was given to Wilderness Sports.
