$7,000 worth of toys delivered to salvation army
ISHPEMING — Over $7,000 worth of toys was delivered to the Salvation Army Monday at the Ishpeming location.
The annual Toys for Tots campaign is wrapping up, and a huge trailer stopped by, full of toys donated from the Ishpeming and Negaunee area. Over 60 businesses from around the area helped raise those toys, and area coordinator Tracey Tippett says it’s not too late to donate.
“It’s been great – all of the community support – we received donations from businesses that stepped up and said they wanted to help us donate toys, said Toys for Tots Coordinator, Tracey Tippett. “It was a great improvement from last year.”
Tippett adds that without the community’s support, they wouldn’t be able to do this year after year.
