S. Front Street to experience closures for petunia planting
MARQUETTE — South Front Street/US-41 in Marquette will be tapered down to one lane heading north beginning at 6:00 a.m. on Friday, 1st.
The roadway will be closed from Furnace Street to the roundabout. The closure accommodates for the Marquette Beautification Committee’s annual planting of petunias.
The lane is expected to be open to through traffic at 3:00 p.m. that same day.
On Saturday, June 2nd, South Front Street/US-41 from Jackson Street to Furnace Street will be tapered down for more petunia planting. All lanes are expected to be open to through traffic at 1:00 p.m. that same day.
Motorists are encouraged to slow down and use caution while traveling in this area.
