Ironwood man arrested after police investigated woman’s death

IRONWOOD — A 36 year-old Ironwood male was arrested today after police investigated an Ironwood woman’s death.

Ironwood Public Safety and Beacon Ambulance responded to a medical call at approximately 6:24 a.m. that a 40 year-old female was unresponsive and not breathing. Before officers arrived on the scene, someone initiated CPR to the female, but she later passed away.

The victim was identified as Ironwood resident Angela Lynn Mylly. It is suspected at this time that the incident may be related to an illegal controlled substance such as Morphine.

After interviews with several people, Bo Menara was arrested on charges of delivering less than 50 grams of a mixture containing the controlled substance – morphine. Menara is currently lodged at the Gogebic County Sheriff’s Department on a $100,000 cash bond.

Ironwood Public Safety cannot confirm if cause of death in the incident was actually due to a drug overdose or that the drug may be involved. Officials hope to have more information on the cause of death once tests are reviewed by the Medical Examiner.
