Tailgate open house for local businesses
MARQUETTE — Today seven businesses came together to host a tailgate open house.
The businesses share a parking lot between two different buildings on Washington. Two of them have recently moved in and held a ribbon cutting today to celebrate. The open house offered information about the businesses, tours and lunch.
President of Total Image Salon Jean Temple says, “We are having hot dogs, coleslaw and baked beans, and if you want to come down and have dinner on us, come on down. We’ve got drawings between each one of the businesses, and retail, and tanning, and gift certificates on sale for 25% off.”
The open house gave the business owners a way to introduce or re-introduce themselves to the community and share their passions.
Licensed Massage Therapist for Grateful Hands Whitney Truscott says, “I went in for the medical field, but I decided that I wanted to do something a little more relaxed and fun, and I think I’ve found it. It’s a lot of fun, I love it so much. Don’t listen to anyone else but you’re heart, and you can do what you want.”
The event goes until seven tonight.
