Pre-Christmas Gas Price Spike
Some 2.9 million people in Michigan are expected to drive somewhere for Christmas this year.
That’s up from 2.7 million last year.
Before you hit the road for holiday travel, you’ll have to open your wallet a little wider.
Gas prices have jumped about a dime in the last couple of days.
They’d bounced up to $3.15 a gallon in some areas yesterday.
But prices slid a couple of cents back to the $3.12 to $3.13 range at most central U.P. gas stations today.
Last year at this time, gas was just over the $3 per gallon mark.
