Escanaba drug suspects enter pleas
ESCANABA — Four of the fourteen Escanaba residents arrested in a major UPSET drug bust late last month have entered pleas in Delta County Circuit Court.
36–year–old John Gray, 33–year–old Mitchel LaFave, Jr., and 29–year–old Jaclyn Snouwaert each pleaded guilty to one count of delivery of a schedule four controlled substance and one count of maintaining a drug house. A fourth suspect, 31–year–old Bobbi–Jo Godfrey, pleaded no contest to one count of maintaining a drug house and one count of attempted delivery of a controlled substance.
The group was arrested March 25th after multiple investigations conducted by UPSET into the sale and distribution of buprenorphine. Snouwaert and Godfrey will be sentenced June 10th, while Gray and LaFave will be sentenced June 19th.
