Kennecott Gets Electrical Permit
Kennecott Eagle Minerals Company has been granted a permit for expanded electrical service.
The future Eagle Mine project on the Yellow Dog Plains had been using generators for power.
The Michigan Department of Natural Resources and environment has approved a permit for electrical service from the Alger–Delta Electric Co–Op.
The new power source is electric lines run to the mine along Marquette County Road AAA.
Our colleagues at the Mining Journal have more on this in today’s paper.
