34,000 MI Jobs Added in June
The seasonally unadjusted unemployment rates for June in the state’s 17 major labor market areas are out tonight.
There’s little change from the previous month.
The Michigan Department of Labor and economic growth says labor markets in June were relatively stable.
Private-sector jobs rose in June by 34,000 — seasonal gains were recorded in several sectors, ranging from transportation to manufacturing.
The U.P.’s June unemployment rate comes in at just under 12%, down from just over 12% in May.
The Detroit area is still the hardest hit, at over 14%, and the lowest unemployment in the state in the Ann Arbor area.
