Business Raises $35K for 581 Fire Victims
It’s now been about 2 and a half months since a wildfire raced through part of Ishpeming Township.
20 families lost their homes.
But thanks to a lot of community support, those families are about to get some help.
Employees of an Ishpeming Township computer repair shop have raised about $35,000 for victims of the 581 Fire.
The store opened itself to donations right after the fire happened.
PC Medic owner Scott Martin says all the hard work will go directly into the pockets of those who lost everything they owned.
The volunteers and victims will get to meet one another at a special dinner Monday night.
That’s when the families will receive the money.
