Weather Forecast 3 13 2014
Winter doesn’t want to let go this year, and it is getting old!! Temperatures this morning started off well below zero, while S winds picked up around 15 to 20 mph. Those winds will help temperatures to linger around the upper 20’s tonight for overnight lows, with skies remaining partly cloudy. Friday, looks to be a dreary day with temps rising to the upper 30’s and lower 40’s for highs across the viewing area. Because of that, we will be expecting a wintry mix early, with drizzle during the late afternoon.
However, moisture is still limited with the next disturbance, so don’t anticipate any significant delays. Tomorrow night cold air rushes back in to cool us to the lower teens and upper single digits for overnight lows. Winds shift from the W to the NNW at 10 to 15 mph, while light flurries continue during the night. Highs fall even more during the day on Saturday as we are forecasted to be in the middle teens, but with clearing skies late. This colder air sticks around Friday night through the beginning of the next work week. So don’t expect to see the 40’s, like we will see tomorrow, for about a week.
