They say 63 year old Thomas Lynch of Gladstone was two miles east of County Road SY on Trail 33 Wells Township when the crash happened at about 1:53 p.m.
Lynch was ahead of two other riders when the left ski of his machine hit a large dip in the trail causing him to lose control and be ejected from his sled. One of the other drivers was called 911 and rendered aid to the victim until emergency units arrived.
The driver complained of non-life threatening injuries and was transported to Marquette General Health Systems for treatment.
Assisting the Sheriff’s Office was Forsyth Township Fire and EMS, and Marquette General EMS.
The DNR was contacted about the surface conditions and warning flagging was placed at the location to help prevent further crashes.
