Bessemer man convicted of murder
A Bessemer man is awaiting sentencing after being convicted of murdering his wife.
Kenneth Peters has been found guilty on all counts that he was facing in the death of his elderly wife, Ethel Grzena Peters.
She went missing last August and her body was found about ten days later.
Kenneth Peters has his sentencing scheduled for May 15th.
However, the sentence he’ll receive is already known, since a Michigan first-degree murder conviction carries an automatic sentence of life in prison without parole.
A jury convicted him Wednesday night of first-degree murder, second-degree murder and second-degree vulnerable adult abuse.
