Medication drop-off in Marquette
Having prescription drugs around the house can be a very dangerous matter…especially if they fall into the wrong hands.
Over the last few months, the Marquette Police Department has been holding a prescription pill and drug disposal program.
Anyone can drop off un–needed medications anonymously during anytime. A collection bin is in the hallway outside the police department at city hall.
Marquette police have been pleased with the amount of medication dropped off so far. Officials say they hope to continue on with the program as long as possible.
Syringes, needles and liquids will not be accepted. Both over the counter and prescription pills can be dropped off. But, if you drop off medications in a prescription bottle, the police advise that you black out any personal information on them.
