Alger Co. Home Invasion-Armed Robbery suspects ID’d
Two suspects have been identified in the ongoing investigation of an Alger County home invasion and armed robbery last week.
Troopers from the Michigan State Police say the incident took place in the early morning hours March 12th AuTrain Township. They say 19–year–old Alan Myron of Alger County was at a residence on County Road 440 when he was assaulted and left incapacitated. Police say the suspects also robbed Myron, taking property from inside the home before fleeing the scene. Myron was taken to Munising Memorial Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
The Alger County Prosecutor has issued arrest warrants charging one suspect with Home Invasion and Armed Robbery. A second suspect has been charged with Home Invasion and Armed Robbery, as well as Assault with Intent to do Great Bodily Harm Less than Murder and Unlawful Imprisonment.
The charges are all felonies and are punishable by up to life in prison.
Police say that although they have identified the pair, efforts to locate and take the suspects into custody are continuing. They say the suspects live downstate and their names will not be released until they have been arrested and arraigned.
