Delta adds flight at Sawyer Int'l Airport
MARQUETTE,Michigan– As the holiday travel rush continues at airports, and U.P. airports resume normal post-winter snow storm operations, Delta Air Lines has announced plans to add a third daily flight to Detroit from Sawyer International Airport, effective March 2, 2013. All three non-stop flights will continue to be operated with Delta’s regional jet aircraft.
Sawyer officials say passenger volume on existing flights has been strong, and local demand for more seats and competitive fares is increasing.
“We are fortunate that we can now offer a mid-day flight option to vacationers making their spring break travel plans,” comments Duane DuRay, Airport Manager.
