Jacobetti Veterans Wish List

Area veterans aren’t about to be left out of the season of giving.

Veterans at the Jacobetti Home in Marquette had their wish list met this morning.

They received gift items that many people in the central U.P. had donated over the last month or so.

Clothing items are always high up on the veterans’ wish list, especially Green Bay Packers and Northern Michigan University gear.

Sunny 101.9 and the other stations of Great Lakes Radio were behind the Christmas Is For Veterans donation campaign.

So was Synergy Fitness, and it was their first time working on it.

Synergy Fitness co-owner Brian Claus says Great Lakes Radio asked them about three months ago if they wanted to work on the wish list this year.

He says both employees, gym members and other residents have strongly answered the call for gifts by donating.

This was the fourth year that staff members at the Jacobetti Home have released a wish list which community donations have then filled.
