City Hall hours to change in Ishpeming
It was business as usual for the Ishpeming City Council Wednesday night. Wednesday’s meeting was the first meeting with new council members, Mike Tonkin and Dave Williams.
One item on the agenda was changing Ishepming’s City Hall hours. With the new hours, city hall would be closed to the public every Friday. The change would allow employees to concentrate on administrative duties and work more efficiently. Ishpeming City Manager Jered Ottenwess cited a smaller staff for the change.
The new hours for the city hall would start the week of January 1.
The council also briefly discussed a new dog ordinance they are working on. The new ordinance would target aggressive dogs and would see fines increase on dogs that bite people.
