Ishpeming Armory Craft Show
Even though Thanksgiving is still nearly a week away, signs of the impending holiday season are starting to appear more and more frequently.
One of them appeared tonight at the Ishpeming Armory.
Crafters have brought jewelry, food and art items there from across the U.P. for the annual holiday craft show.
The National Guard 107th Engineer Company will receive some of the proceeds.
Show organizer Liz Waters says they have crafters at the show not only from Marquette County, but from Munising, Iron River, Escanaba and elsewhere selling 100% handmade items.
The bazaar was held for 28 years before the 107th was deployed to Iraq, and a remodeling project at the armory also put the show on hold for a while, but this is its fourth year back from the hiatus.
After being open for several hours tonight, the craft show is open again tomorrow at the armory from 10 to 4.
Admission is free.
