Iron Mountain Police look for hit and run driver
The Iron Mountain Police Department is asking for help in locating a vehicle involved in a hit and run accident over the weekend. The accident took place just before 6:30 p.m. Saturday on US-2 in front of the Wendy’s restaurant in Iron Mountain.
According to police, a westbound car was stopped preparing to turn into the Wendy’s when it was rear-ended by a pick-up truck. The truck then left the scene – heading south on Cedar Avenue away from US-2.
The suspect vehicle is described as a dark colored pickup truck with a topper. Police say the truck should have front-end damage. Anyone with information about the accident is asked to call the Iron Mountain Police at (906) 774-1234.
