Home Invasion and Assault in Gwinn
The Forsyth Township Police officers responded to a home invasion on Princeton Drive in Gwinn tonight.
Officers said when they arrived on scene they were informed that two male suspects had entered the residence while the owner was home. The male subjects assaulted the home owner – who was able to flee the residence and call 911 from a neighbors house.
Police say the 2 male subjects fled prior to them arriving on scene. One of the male subjects, a 28 year old from Muskegon was later apprehended by Forsyth officers and lodged in the Marquette County Jail. A felony warrant was authorized for the second male subject involved in the incident. Charges have been authorized for the subject in jail. He is being charged with home invasion 1st degree and resisting and obstructing officers. Both are felony charges. No names are being released at this time, and the incident remains under investigation.
