Contract talks continue

By midnight Friday, nearly 1,200 employees of the Tilden and Empire mines will know whether or not they have a new contract.

Although both sides are tight-lipped about the negotiations, talks are continuing between Cliffs Natural Resources and the United Steelworkers Union.

Cliffs has asked ABC 10 to provide notification of a settlement, or lack thereof, Friday night.  That notification will be via Twitter (@upabc10),  Facebook (ABC 10 News Now), this website and a message at the bottom of the television screen.
