State Rep. Candidate to hold town meeting
CALUMET—Scott Dianda, candidate for the Michigan House of Representatives 110th House District, will meet with senior citizens Tuesday, August 21st. According to a press release, the meeting will take place at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Café Rosetta, 104 5th St. in Calumet to discuss Democratic plans to repeal Republican tax increases.
Dianda says House Republican changes to Michigan’s tax code in the past year have disproportionately punished seniors with new taxes on retirement income, a reduction in the homestead tax credit, and the elimination of the senior income exemption.
