MI State Employees Assoc. endorse Dianda
LANSING, MICHIGAN–The Michigan State Employees Association (MSEA) has endorsed Scott Dianda in the 110th District State House Democratic Party primary election on August 7.
“MSEA is proud to endorse Scott Dianda in the primary election for State House,” said MSEA President Ken Moore. “Scott not only understands the issues that are so important to the people of the 110th District, but he will be a champion for working families and senior citizens.”
Dianda was elected president of the 5,000-member Michigan State Employees Association in 2008, and served a two-year term.
“As MSEA President, Scott Dianda was on the front line at the Capitol, advocating for our
membership,” said Moore. I’m sure that he will demonstrate the same dedication and
commitment to the people of the 110th District.”
Moore pointed out that many of the same issues that are impacting residents of the 110th
District are of concern to citizens throughout Michigan.
“Scott Dianda plans to address the top three issues of job creation, appropriate funding of
K-12/higher education, and protecting senior citizens’ income and services,” said Moore. “The middle class is being squeezed into oblivion, young adults are leaving the state and seniors aren’t far behind. We need a strong voice in the Legislature to help turn around Michigan’s race to the bottom.”
Dianda faces William D. Lucius, of Ironwood, in the August 7 Primary. The winner will be up against Incumbent Republican Representative Matt Huuki in November.
