MI Board of Ed Candidate Visits Marquette
One of the candidates for the Michigan Board of Education who’ll be on the ballot in November is trying to introduce herself to potential voters in the U.P.
Michelle Fecteau lives in Detroit, and she’s the head of the faculty and academic staff union at Wayne State University.
She says the state Board of Education needs more perspective from people directly affected by the decisions it makes, and more perspective from teachers.
Fecteau is visiting a Marquette County Democratic event tonight.
The Michigan Board of Education has eight members who are elected by state voters to eight–year terms.
Two of the board members will see their terms expire next January.
