Marquette Farmers' Market Returning
With summer just around the corner, the annual Marquette Farmers’ Market is opening for the season this Saturday.
The Farmers’ Market is held at the Marquette Commons and features a wide range of local products.
While the market has taken Bridge Cards in past, there’s a new benefit to using the card.
Sarah Monte from the Marquette Food Co-Op says under a new program called Double Up Food Box, people who run their Bridge Card will automatically have the amount that they ran doubled.
That means anyone with a Bridge Card can use their card money to buy things like meat, eggs and bread, while spending the extra money on fresh Michigan produce.
The Farmers’ Market will run each weekend during the summer and early fall.
