Pre Cinco de Mayo event in Houghton Co.
Tomorrow may be Cinco De Mayo, but the celebration has already started in Houghton County. Just in time for Cinco De Mayo celebrations…it’s the annual Salsa Making contest in Houghton.
Entries included clam salsa, mango salsa and, of course, mild…medium…and hot. Participants were able to test each and then vote for their favorite. And…as most programs at the Portage Lake District Library…the fiesta was free and open to the public.
So which is the best salsa recipe? This trio knows! The winners of the 2012 Salsa Making contest are:
