Coast Guard Vessel Stops in Marquette
It wasn’t an emergency, but rather a routine mission, that caused a Coast Guard vessel to be in the waters off of Marquette today.
The ship was the 225-foot multi–mission Coast Guard vessel Alder.
Marquette was just one stop for the Alder today.
The icecutter is traveling along the Lake Superior shoreline replacing lights and buoys.
The Alder is based out of Duluth, Minnesota.
