Levack Murder Trial Begins
A Kingsford man will have to wait about two weeks to learn his fate in a murder case.
45–year–old David Levack is charged with open murder, felony murder, first–degree home invasion and witness intimidation.
His trial got underway this morning with jury selection at the Iron County Trial Court in Crystal Falls.
Levack is also listed as a habitual offender, third offense.
If he’s convicted, he could spend the rest of his life in prison.
Levack’s charges come from the death of 81–year–old Joyce Johnson of Stambaugh Township.
Johnson was found dead in her home last September on the day that she was scheduled to testify in court against Levack about the theft of jewelry from her home in 2008.
