Bruce Crossing House Fire & Rollover Accident
It was a busy Tuesday night for the Ontonagon County Sheriff’s Department, with a house fire and a car accident to respond to.
The house fire started shortly before 7:30 last night at 14747 North Paynesville Road in Bruce Crossing.
About ten minutes after a sheriff’s deputy was dispatched there to help the Bruce Crossing Fire Department, the house collapsed.
No one was injured.
The Interior Township and McMillan Township Fire Departments also helped out at the scene.
The car accident happened shortly after 8 pm on US-45, about two miles south of Scaup Lane.
Police say Donna Wolf of Bruce Crossing was driving north when she came upon a southbound vehicle that appeared to be crowding the center line.
When the other driver veered to the right, Wolf lost control, drove into a ditch and overturned her vehicle.
She was taken to Aspirus Ontonagon Hospital for treatment.
There’s no word on how she’s doing.
