NICE Community Schools announce in-house daycare

It’s “bring your kid to work day” every day at NICE Community Schools.

The district recently announced a daycare program for school faculty and staff.

“A daycare is a natural fit for a school because that’s what we’re all about,” said Superintendent Bryan DeAugustine. “We imagine the numbers will ebb and flow.”

Some staff members have been asking for the in–house daycare for nearly two years. Approval from Lansing means the program can be put into place this fall.

The daycare will initially have two staffers, and will be located at aspen ridge school in Ishpeming.
