Nursing home in Crystal Falls reports COVID-19 outbreak
CRYSTAL FALLS — A COVID-19 outbreak has been reported in a nursing home in Crystal Falls.
Since December 29th, eight residents have tested positive at the Iron County Medical Care Facility (ICMCF). Five employees have tested positive, between December 24th and January 3rd.
In a Facebook post, the ICMF said, “Our southside is currently being quarantined and residents testing positive for COVID are isolated on our COVID positive wing. We will be testing residents and employees at least twice this week.”
According to the ICMF website, vaccinations have tentatively been scheduled with Walgreens for Monday, January 18th.
