Menominee man arrested for child pornography

MENOMINEE — A Menominee man has been arrested on child pornography charges.

After a lengthy investigation conducted by the Forsyth Township Police Department, on Wednesday, September 30th, Devin Jon Niemi of Menominee was arrested on charges of criminal sexual conduct-first degree, aggravated child sexually abusive material and using a computer to commit a crime.

Niemi was arrested at his residence by the Menominee City Police Department, transported, and lodged at the Marquette County Jail without incident. The arrest stems from an investigation that started in February 2020.

The Forsyth Township Police Department was assisted by the Michigan State Police (Gladstone Post, and the Computer Crimes Unit in Marquette) and the Menominee City Police Department.
