MCMCF to hold car parade for residents
ISHPEMING — The Marquette County Medical Care Facility invites friends, family, and people in the community to participate in their car parade on Wednesday, May 20th.
Residents will be standing six feet apart while cars drive through the facility saying hello to their friends and loved ones. Signs and decorations are encouraged, but people are also asked to stay in their vehicles at all times.
“I believe the residents will be very happy to see some of their family members,” said Sheri Hewitt, Assistant to the Administrator at Marquette County Medical Care Facility. “They’ve only been seeing them via FaceTime or talking to them on the telephone. So they will be able to see them in person, which will make them very happy.”
The parade is set to start at 1:30 PM.
Staff members also ask to lower your face mask while in your vehicle so the residents could see who is driving by.
