Getting weird for “The WEIRD” including costumes, team names, and prizes
ISHPEMING — The West End Indoor Bike Race Day or “The WEIRD” is only 3 days away and it’s time to think of how weird people might want to get for the event.
During the event teams are asked to dress weird, have weird team names and to make sure they bring all their weirdness with them. Some individuals were interested in ideas for dressing weird, so ABC 10 got a chance to talk with Laura MacDonald about some simple ideas to make it weird.
“So they’re questioning,” said Laura MacDonald, Board President and Executive Director for Start the Cycle. “What kind of names? Anything that is weird. What kind of props? Well you can put on a hat; you can even put on some sunglasses, and/or anything else weird.”
When dressing weird and coming up with a good team name be aware that you can also win prizes for being the most creative. The event will also have door prizes, raffle tickets for a new bike worth over 3 thousand dollars, and more fun prizes.
