The West End Health Foundation informs of grant process changes

ISHPEMING — The West End Health Foundation invited representatives of non-profit organizations to UP Health System-Bell to attend an informational session about their new grant process.

The Foundation also announced a proactive grant cycle that addresses a specific topic related to health and wellness for funding in 2020. In addition to the proactive cycle, the Foundation will award grants to the four school districts in the West End, these grants being offered are programmatic and capital based grants. One of the new grants being added to the Capital grants will also benefit repairs and construction for facilities and equipment.

“We are granting pretty much the same amount of money,” explained Pam Christensen, West End Health Foundation Manager. “We have added a type of grant for capital which will be for equipment and facility repairs or construction.”

All applications for grants will now need to be submitted electronically. Programmatic grant applications will be due October 1st for the fall cycle, while the Capital project grants will be due April 1st for the spring cycle.
