Ribbon cutting held for The Fire Station Provisioning Center
NEGAUNEE — A new medical marijuana facility has hit a milestone on November 6th, 2019.
The Fire Station Provisioning Center is now open for business and has just held its ribbon cutting ceremony. The locally owned and operated shop is looking to help provide good quality medicine to registered individuals. The surrounding community has also been very supportive of the new addition for the local economy and the medicine that they offer.
“There have been quite a few clients that have told us they have been driving hundreds of miles, to places like Houghton or to Lower Michigan, to just get their medicine,” said Logan Stauber, Co-Owner at The Fire Station Provisioning Center. “On a daily basis we see people from Escanaba, Menominee, all over the U.P. and even some people from the downstate. They all just love coming in and seeing the shop. So it has been really positive.”
The facility has just applied for a recreational license so that anyone would be able to buy the product. Currently only registered individuals who require marijuana for medical purposes can access this medicinal plant. The Fire Station Provisions Center is located off of US-41 in Negaunee.
