No one injured at house fire in Escanaba on Monday night

ESCANABA — On Monday night the Escanaba Public Safety Officers battled a house fire.

Escanaba Public Safety says that officers were called to a home at 222 South 10th Street for a structure fire at approximately 10:44 p.m.

After authorities arrived on the scene, the front of the home was fully engulfed as was the upstairs on the south side of the residence. A quick attack of the interior, as well as, the exterior of the residence quickly brought the fire under control and extinguished. The public safety officers were at the scene for about two-and-a-half hours.

Public Safety was assisted on the scene by the Ford River Fire Department, Delta County Sheriff’s Office, Rampart EMS, DTE, City Electric Department and the American Red Cross.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation and there were no injuries were reported.
