Marquette BMX hosting open house to recruit more athletes
MARQUETTE — Marquette BMX is gearing up for their season by holding an open house on Saturday, May 18, 2019.
The open house will be for all ages and will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Kaufman Sports Complex in Marquette. The event will have all equipment readily available for everyone to come out and try BMX and ride the course.
“We try to recruit and get kids out on bikes every year,” said Doug Pennala, Track Operator at Marquette BMX. “We want to show people our sport and a lot of people here just don’t realize this course is here. The track is here and they really get what BMX is all about. So it is our chance to kind of educate them on our sport.”
