2nd-annual Marquette Coffee Crawl benefits Women’s Center
MARQUETTE — Fans of coffee and charity alike gathered on Saturday for a good cause.
The 2nd–annual Coffee Crawl gave customers a unique opportunity to sample fresh roasts from eight different vendors in Marquette, with the help from a few NMU student organizations.
“So the benefit is community growth,” said Haley Bussell, president of PRSSA. “Obviously it’s a really big community event for people who want to be a part of something more than just hanging out at a coffee shop, but also it’s hanging out at a coffee shop and enjoying new people that maybe you haven’t met before, but also raising money for the Women’s Center for Sexual Assault Awareness Month.”
NMU’s Women for Women and Public Relations Students Society of America, or PRSSA, helped organize the event, with sponsorship from River Valley Bank.
Many of the vendors unveiled a special drink, unique for the event.
