Huron Mountain Bakery offering free coffee, donuts to furloughed government employees

MARQUETTE COUNTY — Huron Mountain Bakery is offering a special treat to furloughed government employees.

The local bakery is offering any employee affected by the shutdown a free coffee and donuts if they come in and show their government employee I.D.

Huron Mountain Bakery wants to give back to the community as much as they can during this stressful time.

“I think anybody who is struggling, if you can lend a hand it’s a good thing to do. This is just our simple way of being able to lend a small helping hand. We appreciate how the community treats us, so when we can we like to give back to the community,” said Joe Heck, Cake Guy.

The offer will be available all day at every Huron Mountain Bakery location in Marquette and Ishpeming, as well as BabyCakes Muffin Company on Washington Street.

This offer will last until the government is fully up and running again.
