Annual Christmas is For Veterans event continues efforts
MARQUETTE — It’s the season of giving and the annual Christmas is For Veterans event at the D.J. Jacobetti Home for Veterans is happening right now!
Every year Great Lakes Radio host this event and the D.J. Jacobetti Home for Veterans is the benefactor; the funds will be used for service members in need.
This year they are mostly in need of diabetic socks, reading glass lanyards and hair brushes.
The Jacobetti Home is thankful every year for the community’s strong support.
“It’s through the generous support of the community that we are able to provide more for our Veterans. They have a much improved quality of life due to the support we get from the outside community,” said Sarah Johnson, Volunteer Coordinator.
There are several different drop–off sites throughout Marquette County.
This event is taking place the entire month of December and will end in a party for the members at the home.
