Classic Cars on Third Street happening this weekend
MARQUETTE — Saturday August 18th The Downtown Development Authority is hosting their 2nd annual “Classic Cars on Third Street”.
There will be around 200 different types of classic and custom cars, lining both sides of third street.
The DDA is partnering with Third Base Bar to commemorate Jessica Drummond who was a victim of domestic violence.
“They wanted to commemorate her and one of things that she was really into was classic cars. I thought what a perfect way to remember her, by putting on this car show. All of the proceeds from this car show go to the womens center, it’s a really great cause,” said Tara Laase – McKinney, Promotions and Events Coordinator for Marquette Downtown Development Authority.
It’s five dollars to enter a classic or custom car and the event will be taking place between 10 A.M. and 5 P.M rain or shine.
