The 2018 Marquette County Fair kicks off Thursday

GWINN — The Marquette County Fair will be opening their gates Thursday morning at 10 o clock for its 30th year.

This year the fair is introducing some new rides that are exclusive to Michigan.

They are kicking off this year’s fair off with stock showing and some live music.

Their motto this year is “If you haven’t been to the fair lately, you haven’t been to the fair”

“I’m most excited to see all the new people that show up. We really encourage people who have never been here before to come out and give it a try. We are so excited to show off our great fairgrounds. We just want to have you come out and see us,” said Walt Maki, President of the Marquette County Fair Board.

The fair will be going on until Saturday. Tickets for adults are six dollars and three dollars children. There will also be plenty of free things to do.
