Love INC hosting Memorial Day Fun Run

MARQUETTE COUNTY — More people are taking their workouts outdoors because of the nicer weather. One organization is hoping to raise money for their cause, while getting you to run outdoors.

Love INC is sponsoring a Fun Run 5/10K on May 28th at 10:00 a.m. The race begins at the Old Town Park next to the Negaunee Senior Center, and the 10K race will extend off the 5K course on the Heritage Trail.

The entry fee is $30, and those who sign up before May 18th will get a free t-shirt. Click HERE to sign up online.

All proceeds from the race will benefit Love INC.

“It’s big function is to act as a clearing house or coordinating center for the tremendous amount of talent and volunteers that we have in area churches and service organizations throughout Marquette County to help families in need with a myriad of issues that they may face,” said Richard Derby, a member of the Board of Directors for Love INC.

Derby also said that through Love INC, volunteers have assisted Marquette County residents with filling out resumes, budgeting and taxes and learning how to use computers.
