NMU’s Radio X hosts live performances
MARQUETTE — Northern Michigan University’s student led radio program, Radio X, is starting something new, and will be featuring live bands on their shows.
Last week, the organization introduced ‘Live at the X,’ an event that will be held every Tuesday at 7pm with a live set performed by local and student musicians on air. On Tuesday evening, a band comprised of NMU students, Mirador Motel, took over the studio and jammed out for audiences all across the UP.
“It’s one thing we kind of thought of this year – it’s been an idea thrown around for a couple of years now,” said Radio X Training Director, Donny Ede. “We’d like to team up with the Oredock, but we wanted some bands to come out here and perform for us, and we thought it would be a great thing for the community to tune into.”
You can tune in to 91.5 FM or stop by their station to come catch their weekly set!
