National Puppy Day brings attention to adoption
NEGAUNEE — It’s Friday, but most importantly its National Puppy Day and in honor of National Puppy Day we want to help the dogs in our community find their forever homes.
“Adopt don’t shop there are a lot of animals in shelters across the United States, that are looking for a home and maybe you want to try to give them a shot. So it really gives a good opportunity for people to see what their local shelter has and find their friend, ” said Kori Tossava, Executive Director of the Upper Peninsula Animal Shelter.
UPAWS is filled with rescue dogs ready to be adopted. You would be gaining a four legged best friend and also making room in the shelter for more animals.
“So if you’re just looking for a buddy or if you’re looking for a pal. Take a look at our website keep an eye on it. Call us and ask us questions and we can explain the personalities of the animals to see if they would fit your lifestyle,” added Tossava.
