CHIPPEWA COUNTY — Motorists should expect daytime single–lane closures on the US–2 Heath M. Robinson Memorial Cut River Bridge in Mackinac County from March 5th to 8th for a bridge inspection work.

Contractors for the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will be taking bridge measurements for this summer’s planned repair project. Work is expected to begin Monday and be completed by Thursday. Closures are planned for daytime hours only while under repair.

A width restriction will also be in place, with no loads wider than twelve feet permitted while the lane closures are in effect. Traffic in the work area will be maintained with a temporary traffic signal. Motorists should expect delays of less than ten minutes.
