GLADSTONE — One person is injured after a car accident at an intersection in Gladstone on Sunday.

Gladstone Public Safety officers responded to a two-vehicle personal injury accident at the intersection of South 9th Street and Minneapolis Avenue just after 3:00 p.m. Investigators determined that an 85 year-old Gladstone resident was traveling westbound on Minneapolis Avenue, disregarded a stop sign at the intersection and then collided with a 21 year-old Gladstone resident, who was traveling northbound on 9th Street.

The 21 year-old driver later sought their own medical care for a leg injury. The 85 year-old driver was cited for disregarding the stop sign.

The Michigan State Police assisted on the scene.
