NEGAUNEE — The Negaunee Male Chorus is preparing for their annual Christmas concert that is sure to fill everyone with Christmas Spirit next week.

Every year, the chorus puts on a Christmas show at Negaunee High School, and this year, the title of the concert is “Waiting for Christmas.” Many traditional Christmas songs will be featured, along with everyone’s favorites. The group has been around and performing for nearly 90 years now.

“What I think it does is it sets up people’s Christmas,” said Gary Penhale, Vice President of the Chorus. “I think we kind of kick-off people’s Christmas, so hopefully we do – we try to anyway. Yeah, it is fun and we are excited to do it – it’s a good thing for the community and it’s fun.”

The show is next Saturday, December 9th. Tickets are $10 for General Admission, and children ages four to ten are $5. They can be found at Super One Foods in Negaunee, TruNorth Credit Union in Ishpeming, Jubuilee Foods U.S. 41 in Ishpeming, Tourville North and West in Marquette, and mBank in Ishpeming and Negaunee.
